As a Pastor, I hear it all the time. In fact, I get to see both sides of the coin. Many of us wonder why is God taking so long to move in our lives but in all actuality, God is not the problem. The problem is that we’re taking too long to notice and to obey. I love the quote Sis. Kim shared with us in a bible study. Thomas Edison hit the nail on the head, when he said “opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.” Could it be that opportunity is available but it comes with the price of work? Jesus said the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few. Then He said pray that the Lord of the Harvest will send forth laborers. That’s what we’ve been praying for. We’ve been praying for workers. People who understand that faith without works is dead. People who understand that harvest time is work time. Though the opportunity is making us work, the end result will be the counting of the spoil. We will reap if we faint not. Like the song says, “I just can’t give up now. I’ve come too far from where I started from”. If the blessing comes with work attached then bring it on. I want everything God has for me. As long as God is my boss, I know the payoff will be exceedingly, abundantly above all I ask or think. Take inventory in your life, is your opportunity disguised? Could it be that the work you’re avoiding is your big opportunity? Prepare yourself because opportunity is already here! Opportunity to be used of God. Opportunity to be a blessing. Opportunity to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, encourage the hurting. It’s all over the place. And the king, He is a real good employer. The pay is abundant! And the benefit package exceeds far more than money. The peace surpasses all understanding and the opportunity for joy is unspeakable. And yes, you will get your hands dirty but you will get a cleansed heart and a renewed spirit. It’s just a part of what we get for working for the King. If we honor Him first, everything else will be added unto us. * For More Information  About Helping the Community Log On to: www.championchurchnola.com
